Vintage Mexican Blanket, Collectible Saltillo Blanket, Southwestern Serape, Morrissey Fabric
Vintage Mexican blanket woven in wool. This Saltillo sarape blanket is a collector's textile that’s great for the foot of a bed, draped over a sofa back, used on a table, or even made into pillows.
Deep blue with classic multi-color stripes. It's in good vintage condition but there is a large area with fading from the sun. It’s visible on one side only. Some small wear as shown in photos and one fold crease has light marking. These do not show on both sides of the blanket. Perfectly imperfect.
This Mexican blanket will add warmth to a midcentury home decor, boho, Santa Fe, or any eclectic interior.
Southwestern blankets hand-loomed in cactus fiber are of a classic design that never goes out of style. This wonderful textile has a refined, tight weave.
The colors in this sarape are classic Southwestern Desert hues. The stripes run the gamut from purple, dusty pink, rose, dusty golden yellows, olive green, lighter browns, and ivory.
Hand loomed in Mexico and estimated from the 1950s to 1970s given the materials, colors, and design.
There are nubs created by knots where one fiber strand ended and another began. This lends to the authenticity and tactile quality.
Measurements in inches: 91 inches long x 66 inches wide.
