Authentic Vintage African Mud cloth. This is a one of a kind Bogolan with a tribal print created with fermented mud paint. These textiles originate from Mali, Africa.
There are some splotchy areas as seen in photos. These are areas where the fermented mud pattern has faded. This is a wonderful textile for display or to make into pillows.
Hand crafted in the 1930s to 1960s.

*** I have cleaned this vintage textile so it's ready for use. You cannot spot clean this vintage cloth because it will leave the area blank.
As with many vintage pieces, this item has signs of wear with uneven areas of color. These traits add to the beauty and unique quality of this fabric.
