This weighty vintage textile is known as a frazada blanket. Frazada weaving has been done by women in the Andian region of South America since pre-Colombian times. The indigenous artisans created these colorful one of a kind blankets using back-strap looms to weave natural sheep’s wool into functional works of art.
Very lofty and heavy, a frazada can be used draped over the foot of a bed or sofa back. People also use them in light traffic areas for rugs and sometimes they are cut into pillow covers. I personally use one on the seat of my couch adding hand-made charm and color to my living room.
A Global style classic with saturated color yarns that are warm and inviting. Nicely finished along the edges with a crochet finish.
This wool textile measures 59 inches long x 66 inches wide.
*As with most handmade products made from naturally dyed fibers, please note that hand-dying can produce variations in color.
All Wool, dry clean only

I do not accept returns or exchanges due to the nature of vintage textiles. There may be spots, marks, color variations, smudges, lose strings, frays, and/or patches on a textile. While they add to the authentic nature of the product, please review all the photographs before the purchase.
