Crisp hand and very good vintage condition with some areas with dirt marks from storage shelving. This ceremonial cloth is from Yoruba, Africa.
This type of celebratory textile is often repurposed into designer pillow covers. Woven in narrow strips that are joined to make one larger cloth. Eyelet details with surface loops woven on top add textural interest.
The cloth has a taupe cotton ground and brown stripes. Great look for a neutral space that could use some surface texture.
Measures approx. 73 to 74 inches long.

A hand crafted piece of African Aso Oke cloth like this will make beautiful pillow covers, or use for lamp shades, or window treatments. Good medium weight.
