Vintage Mud Cloth African Fabric, Pink and white Aso Oke, (Asoks) Yarn Dyed stripe Fabric, Hand made textile, Morrissey Fabric
Vintage African Aso Oke textile. Listing is for ONE PIECE. This fabric has pink abstract floral embroidery and pink strips with silver lurex threads. The base cloth is cotton. The embroidery appears to be machine made.
Use as a table runner, make into pillows, or cut and frame for wall art. This cloth has a stiff, denim-like drape.
Aso oke is a textile hand woven by Yoruban men on the double-heddle narrow loom. These textiles are worn as skits and wraps for formal celebrations.
Origin: Yoruba, Africa.
***As with many vintage fabrics, this may have light imperfections from light, general wear-n-tear, and a few small stains.
