Vintage African textile. This unique fabric is made from several narrow strips of cloth sewn together to make one wide cloth. This is stunning example of an Aso Oke textile from Yoruba, Africa.
Measures 80 inches long x 39 inches wide .
This statement fabric is made from dark red/ burgundy color cotton and accent yarns in a contrasting shade of green. This well crafted piece of African Aso Oke cloth would work well as pillow covers, quilting, or used at the foot of a bed. Crisp hand but not too heavy. Good medium weight. Hand-loomed in Africa and one-of-a-kind.
As with many vintage textiles that have been in use, this African cloth has some wear-n-tear. The fabric is soft to the touch. Not at all thread-bare. Please examine photos for minimal wear.
