Authentic Vintage African Mud cloth textile. This is a gorgeous textile in very good vintage condition. There are some faded areas as seen in photos. These are not stains, simply areas where the fermented mud pattern has faded. This is a wonderful textile for display or making into pillows.
Hand crafted in the 1930s to 1960s. The decorative patterns were created with fermented mud dye and painted onto the strip cloth by hand. Authentic African Bogolan.
