Authentic Vintage African Mud cloth textile. This is a one of a kind Bogolan with a colorful fringe at one end. These textiles originate from Mali, Africa.
***In the photo with multiple textiles this is the lightest color mud cloth second from the top.
There are some faded areas as seen in photos. These are areas where the fermented mud pattern has faded. This is a wonderful textile for display or make into pillows.
Hand crafted in the 1930s to 1960s.
60 inches long x 38 inches wide. 100% cotton.
*** I have cleaned this vintage textile so it's ready for use, but there is one area with a tar-like stain the would not wash out. See photo.
As with many vintage pieces, this item has signs of wear with uneven areas of color. These traits add to the beauty and unique quality of this fabric.
