Mud cloth Bogolan Antique Textile. This is a beautiful, piece of textile art in very good condition.
Hand crafted in the early 1900s, the decorative tribal patterns were created with fermented mud dye. This vintage African strip cloth has original hand-stitching. This authentic Bogolan is very old, worthy of framing, and priced accordingly.

This has a lovely soft quality that works as a neutral in a global-style home, a contemporary environment in need of a soft touch, or an eclectic coastal home. This antique mud cloth was completely crafted and comes from Mali, Africa.
I have cleaned this item with non-toxic soap and sun-dried it so it's odor-free and stain-free and ready for use.

100% cotton, hand washable with care. Do not use bleach or Oxiclean as it will remove the patterns.
As with most vintage pieces, this item has some signs of wear, minimal fraying at the edges, but no stains to speak of. These traits add to the beauty and unique quality of this fabric.
