Kuba Cloth, Authentic African Tribal Textile, Hand made, Abstract Shapes, extra wide and long piece
African Kuba Cloth that is wider than most. Wonderful raffia embroidered abstract shaped details on top. This piece has a black color raffia ground and handmade natural colored raffia textiles with rust thread hand stitching. It makes for an excellent accent piece for mid-century modern decor or a Global/African-themed space.
Kuba textiles come from the Congo. They make spectacular textural wall hangings or statement-piece table runners. I've even seen them re-purposed as tote bags when combined back to leather. You may reference Photo 8 for pillow design inspiration.
This work of textile art measures approx. 127 inches long (10.5 feet) x 25.5 inches wide and is in top-notch condition.
This item is made of raffia and by the Bakuba tribe in Congo. This is a unique and dramatic textile for the lover of fiber art, or the person who enjoys a global-style to warm their surroundings.
